Why Children Teach Us More Than We Expect: Insights from W.I.N.G.S and I.N.S.P.I.R.E

Through The Write Compass’ W.I.N.G.S and I.N.S.P.I.R.E Programs, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring children who bring immense clarity and sincerity into the learning space. Their everyday actions, staying organised, expressing themselves creatively, trying again, being kind, staying focused, reflect the values schools and families work so hard to nurture. These children remind me that learning is collaborative, and that sometimes the most meaningful lessons come from the youngest voices in the room.
So, this year, I want to honour the teachers who quietly shape me every day: the children I mentor at The Write Compass’ W.I.N.G.S and I.N.S.P.I.R.E Programs. Their lessons are simple, honest, and full of heart.
