From a Simple Email to Shark Tank
Tracing Jaywant’s Path from a Humble Email to the Spotlight on Shark Tank
It was back in 2014 when Jaywant and I first connected over a simple, sincere email. He introduced himself as someone who has been practising organic farming near Shirur, Pune, Maharashtra, for the past couple of years.

Sowing the Seeds of Change
He wrote: “Currently, I am into vegetables. Slowly, a few farmers from my village are willing to transition to organic methods by forming a group. One of our primary concerns is finding a reliable and sustainable marketing channel. We’ve been let down by various contract farming companies. Apart from farmer’s markets, do you have plans to scale things innovatively? I have a few ideas I’d love to discuss and validate with like-minded people. Let me know if we can collaborate.”
Mission to showcase changemakers
Having launched my website The Lifestyle Portal in 2011, I was eager to showcase individuals and entrepreneurs working towards sustainable, positive change in India. Jaywant’s vision resonated deeply with my mission—to highlight stories that inspire and uplift. Soon after, I featured his story in July 2014: “How to Start Your Own Organic Farm”. I’m grateful he took time out of his schedule to share his journey with us.
Experiencing A2 Humpy Milk Firsthand
Living in Pune at the time, I subscribed to A2 Humpy Milk—his venture into ethically sourced A2 milk. It was my small way of supporting someone whose story I had the honour to share. I still remember the curd I would make from that milk—rich, mellow, and almost nostalgic. Guests would often pause in delight, remarking how it reminded them of their childhood. I’d smile and proudly say, “I featured them on my website—and I’ve been hooked on their products ever since.”

Seamless Innovation in Everyday Sustainability
What impressed me most was the seamless customer experience. Jaywant’s team had already developed an app that allowed me to manage my milk subscription. Each morning, come rain or shine, fresh A2 milk arrived in reusable 1-litre glass bottles. All I had to do was leave the empty bottle outside, and it would be replaced with a full one.
Years later, when I saw Jaywant and his team present their brand A2 Humpy Farms on Shark Tank India – Season 1, my heart swelled with pride. Witnessing someone’s vision evolve and gain recognition on such a national platform was truly special.
Celebrating Those Who Drive Change
At The Lifestyle Portal, we believe in cheering for one another who are eager to make a positive difference that supports the nation’s economy, growth and prosperity.
Today, when I saw Jaywant’s birthday reminder on LinkedIn and Facebook, I thought—what better way to wish him than by celebrating his incredible journey and applauding his future milestones?
Here’s to more success, Jaywant. Keep inspiring.
