Bidding adieu to winters…

As we bid adieu to the winter, I try to cling to the warm balmy sunshine streaming through the window. The soothing winter sun allures me to sit a little longer, enjoy that cup of tea a little while longer, doodle in my art book a little longer, and have long deep conversations a little while longer.
The winters, though, can sometimes be harsh for some, can in so many ways, be so helpful. As I dread the arrival of summers, the hot, humid and sweltering days… I’m going to miss the winters with the warm blanket of sunshine that makes everything look so optimistic and bright.

It is during the winters that I resumed my ‘Art for the Soul’, and started doodling almost every weekend at home, all wrapped up in woollens and sipping hot tea or homemade soups, curled up in a corner where I get my share of the sun, listened to music, watched films on the television, enjoyed my walks. I ate well, slept well, and treated my mind, body and soul with plenty of love, care and rest.
Thankyou winter, for gracing us with your presence, to remind us to take care of ourselves and take things slow.
I try to capture the winter sun streaming through my windows as if to coax her to stay a little longer and keep me warm in its happy warm hug called sunshine.
