Bliss defined

Bliss...
Bliss…

Walking back from the gym as my mind wandered around the life’s usual humdrum, I chanced upon a cat, curled up on top of a wall of a sidewalk.

The first thought that crossed my mind was bliss. I was able to define the word bliss with what I saw. The cat was curled up on top of a wall, with a backdrop of pink Bougainvillea flowers, sleeping peacefully amidst the noisy traffic.

Bliss and peace are a state of mind. We can find it even on the busiest streets of Mumbai and may keep looking for it even in the most tranquil places on earth. At times, even a visit to a spa or a resort cannot do that.

I walked back feeling calm and it made me realize that I can’t chase bliss and peace, it’s always there. I just have to let go of the clutter in my head and heart to let bliss enter and make it her home.
