It’s a Friday night and after office hours all you want to do is to meet up with friends for a drink and listen to good music. While the city traffic continues to play spoilsport, the city of Mumbai knows its party places and how to overcome all odds and have a good time.

As soon as you enter the Hyatt Regency lobby, a glossy red signboard will welcome you to their exclusive Backyard Barbeque that’s open from 7pm – 11pm with unlimited food and drink packages. Not bad for those who like to sign off the week in style.

We all met up at the Backyard Barbeque at the Hyatt Regency and were pleasantly surprised at the entire do. Tastefully done up, this open-air, poolside space was turned into a fancy backyard with some delicious barbeque on the grill.

Post the extended monsoons as the city started getting used to the October heat, we relaxed over some drinks and good music catching up after a hectic week. The best part being, the breeze was doing its bit and we just loved letting our hair lose in the breezy evening and catching up on life with friends.

The live barbeque counter was serving up some really nice selection of meats including poultry and fish while the vegetarian section had the usual fare of cottage cheese and grilled marinated aubergine.

From signature cocktails, mocktails and wine, you could pick up a beer from the wheelbarrow that gets wheeled to your table. Sit across the poolside over a pint and dig into succulent grilled meats under the open sky is a perfect way to sign off a week.
